This contract involved the construction of:

• new four classroom extension with associated drainage
• refurbishment of existing WC facilities
• surrounding footpaths
• retaining structure for the surrounding bank

During the programme, the scope of the works grew and works were carried out to provide additional outside usable spaces for children’s play areas with the extensive use of all-weather Astroturf finishes.

The project was carried out to the client’s satisfaction and deemed successful.  The Site Manager received a Certificate of Compliance from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), when the site was visited by the CCS Monitor in September 2012.  Ryearch’s site scored at least three points in the following eight sections of the Scheme’s Site Code of Considerate Practice:
