Ryearch is helping to ensure the health and wellbeing of the Plympton community through our investment in a defibrillator.  This specialist medical equipment can be used when someone has a cardiac arrest, and can save lives when every minute counts.   Training on how to use the device was delivered to our office staff by another organisation on the Defibrillator Accrediation Scheme (Aztec). The equipment is registered with the South West Ambulance Service who maintain a register of all defibrillators in the region.  A member from the SWAS visited Ryearch last month to check that the equipment was a recognised device, and to explain how we should maintain it. There is a sticker on the Ryearch front door so anyone who needs to use the defibrillator can identify our premises easily, and the equipment is kept in an easily accessible place in our reception area.
