Plaistow Hill Infant & Nursery School, Plymouth

As part of the governments ‘building schools for the future programme’, Ryearch undertook the construction of a new build extension providing a much needed kitchen facility for the school.

Sustainable and environmentally friendly materials were a high priority and many were incorporated, including: insulated beam shield; beam and block floor system; insulated aluminium roof; timber frame and timber cladding system.

Works commenced during the school term which required close liaison between Ryearch and the school to minimise disruption during the school hours.

The project was delivered on time and under budget, after a value engineering process undertaken by Ryearch to save money on the initial scheme.
